Easter run for children's education at the Vienna InternationalMarathon
Elena Moisei United Way Romania
On Orthodox Easter, 12 April, I will run the Vienna International Marathon.
I believe that out on a marathon run there is great challenge and self-discovery, you feel the pain, but you see the big picture and fight to reach the Finish.
Because the Marathon is on Easter Day, I decided to get involved in a charity project and raise funds for United Way Romania’s Learn to Succeed programme.
This programme is dedicated to children from poor communities in Romania who do not have enough financial support from their families to attend school. Through this programme, more than 1500 Romanian children and teenagers are given support to attend school and to integrate into society.
I believe that education makes a difference in our lives and every child deserves the chance to attend school and not to feel disregarded.
At Easter we can be generous, think about people in need and spread the magic around!
Please support my clause by donating money to United Way Romania. The target is 10000 RON (about 2.300 EUR) for 42 km distance of the marathon.
Thank you for helping me to help others!
Kind regards,
Elena
